A New Club For A New Change

A+New+Club+For+A+New+Change

If you’re interested in helping another country in the world and expanding your knowledge, See the Change would be a great club to join. India has 212 million undernourished people. Over 7000 Indians die of hunger each day. With serious issues occurring in India, a new club has been created to work on fixing some of them. See the Change is an organizational club founded by junior Anagha Kikkeri. She started it from the knowledge of her own ethnicity and from the desire to help India with an issue it’s facing. The club members are going to be helping people in India, and their first meeting is going to be on November 17th at president Anagha Kikkeri’s house. Most of the members of See the Change don’t know a lot about India, but have the curiosity to learn more about it. “I’m so excited for See the Change meetings to begin because I’m going to be able to learn so much about the Indian culture. I don’t know a lot about it right now, but I think talking, and figuring out ways to help India with their needs, is a really neat way for me to expand my knowledge about the country,” freshman Anna Holder said. See the Change has been delaying its first meeting for a while because the president has been debating on what issue she wants to focus on. ` “I have multiple organizations in mind that I think will be great to work with this year. However, I want to focus on just one so we can make sure we really make a difference, but I’ve changed my mind many time on which one would be the best choice. I made the decision to discuss with the whole club at our first meeting which one everyone thinks will be the most beneficial organization to work with. This way everyone will get involved right at the start, and we can start collaborating on ideas,” junior Anagha Kikkeri said. Once See the Change picks the organization, they will meet at least three to four times a month to brainstorm and contribute to help India as much as they can. “We are all so excited to start helping another country and hope to make a difference. The importance is significant to many people, and we don’t want to disappoint anyone,” freshman Kiki Culpepper said. See the Change has big plans for the year, and you shouldn’t miss out on any of it. Make sure you go to the meeting Tuesday, November 17th to get filled in on all the information about the club making a difference.
