Blue Sushi
Blue Sushi is a wonderful place for new sushi goers and long time fans, and with plenty of options you can easily find something new. Located in nearby Preston Hollow Village (and other locations) Blue Sushi sports an eccentric décor of Japanese pop culture and constantly plays Godzilla on a projector in the main room. On Thursday from 11am to close Blue Sushi offers all of its “crunchy” roles for five dollars each, which is great for those who want to try sushi but do not want to pay a large amount to do so. For those who want something cooked Blue Sushi has many non-raw options including one of my personal favorites the river rock beef tenderloin. If you want sushi but not the aspect of eating something raw I personal recommend having a tempera roll specifically the thriller, a shrimp tempera roll with spicy crab, ponzu, and thriller sauce. For those who want a traditional experience I recommend some specialty sashimi or nigiri (a slice of fish on a lump of rice), a black dragon roll, and a seaweed salad (don’t be afraid to try something new).
