How to keep your school supplies organized

Tips and tricks to keeping all of your things organized for school

With finals coming up, it is important to stay organized with all of your papers and materials. Below are a few steps you can take to make sure you can find and have everything you need.

The first tip is to keep all of the colors of highlighters and pens that you could need. Usually having four colors of highlighters is ideal for English. As for pens, you should have a black, blue and red pen. Black and blue are the best for assignments, and red is for correcting papers. Having colorful pens can also help you when taking useful and neat notes. Use a different color pen or highlight all of the things that your teacher says twice.

Using a planner can be useful to properly prepare for quizzes and tests by writing the tests and quizzes scheduled for that day at the top of the day’s area in the planner. By writing out their assignments, students can start to see how much time after school they will need to spend completing their assignments. Added bonus: crossing off completed assignments is very satisfying.

If your teacher asks you to keep an interactive notebook, then it is important to keep your table of contents (TOC) updated and correct. This will help you to easily find test reviews and notes that you need. In order to keep it organized, keep tape or a glue stick in your backpack. If you are not required to keep an interactive notebook, make sure your binders or folders are well organized with colors and tabs.

The most important thing you can do to prepare for finals is to thoroughly complete the reviews that the teachers give you. In order to no misplace them, put a sheet protector in your binder to house the reviws.

If you follow all of these steps, then you will go into your exams more prepared than if you did not do them.
