Pop-singer Kelly Clarkson has just released her first new album since her hit album Piece By Piece came out in 2016. Clarkson’s new album, Meaning of Life, was released on Oct. 27 and consists of 14 songs including “Love So Soft.” The music video for the popular song was released on Sept. 7 and has reached over eight million views. The song was released as a single on Sept. 7 as well.

Clarkson’s music career took flight after winning the singing competitive television show American Idol in 2002. She released her debut single “Before Your Love,” which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and became the nationwide best selling single of 2002. Clarkson released her album Thankful in 2003, which also reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. She tried to reinvent her image with coming out with the album Breakaway, which was part of the pop-rock genre. The album sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, and earned her two grammy awards. In 2009 Clarkson released her album All I Ever Wanted, with the lead single “My Life Would Suck Without You.” This album holds the record for the biggest jump to number one of the Billboard Hot 100. She scored another number one on the Billboard Hot 100, with single “Stronger” which was released in 2011. This song lead to Clarkson being the first artist to receive Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album twice. In 2013 she released her first Christmas album titled Wrapped In Red, which was the best selling holiday album of the year. This made her the first female American artist to receive the title. Clarkson’s album titled Piece By Piece is her most recent album aside from Meaning of Life. Piece By Piece came out in 2015 and was her third album to rise to number one on the Billboard Hot 200. Its title track became her eleventh top-ten single on the Hot 100. She signed with Atlantic Records in 2016 and recently released her album Meaning of Life.

Clarkson has sold over 25 million albums and 36 million singles worldwide, and has scored over 100 number ones on the Billboard charts. She has received three grammy awards, three MTV Music Awards, four American Music Awards and two Academy Country Music Awards. She became the first artist in history to top each of Billboard’s pop, adult contemporary, country and dance charts. Clarkson has been ranked 19 on VH1’s list of 100 greatest Women in Music.
