Beyonce and Ed Sheeran recreate Sheeran’s song Perfect

English singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran and American singer Beyonce have come together to recreate a popular song from Sheeran’s 2017 album Divide, which broke records in a number of countries such as the UK, Australia and Germany when it debuted in the top two positions of the charts.

The two artists recreated the song “Perfect,” which came out when the album was dropped on March 3rd of this year. The album is made up of 16 songs, including “Shape of You” and “Castle On The Hill,” which both hit the music charts earlier this year.

“Perfect” featuring Beyonce came out on Nov. 30. The music video for the original song, which came out on Nov. 9, has had over 265 million views on YouTube. Sheeran has come a long way from the start of his music career and has risen to fame very quickly in the past years.

Ed Sheeran started his music career in 2011, when he signed with Asylum Records. In Sept. of 2011, he released his first debut album Plus, which has been verified seven times platinum in the UK. The album consisted of many songs, including his most popular song from the album, “The A Team.” The song won him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

In 2012, Sheeran also won the Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. After making a guest appearance for Taylor Swift’s Red tour, “The A Team” was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

In 2013 he released his second album Multiply, which reached number one in the UK and the U.S.

In 2015 the album won the Brit Award for Album of The Year and received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year.

His single from the album “Thinking Out Loud” won Sheeran two Grammy Awards at the 2016 ceremony for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

“I really like the new duet with Beyonce and Ed Sheeran, it is really unique and a really pretty song,” sophomore Elizabeth Laird said.

Sheeran goes on tour next year throughout the U.S. for his album Division, and is coming to the AT&T Stadium on Oct. 27, 2018.
