Miley Cyrus’ new album Younger Now

Miley Cyrus came out with her new album Younger Now on Sept. 29. Younger Now consists of 11 songs such as “Malibu” and “Younger Now” which came out as singles a few months before. “Younger Now” came out on Aug. 18, the music video that came out on Aug. 17 has reached more than 40 million views. “Malibu” came out on May 11, 2017 and has reached over 221 million listens on Spotify. The music video for the popular song came out on May 11, with 296 million views. Cyrus has not released new music for two years, after the release of her album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz which had 23 songs on it.  

Cyrus was born in Tennessee. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, came from a musical background as a country singer. She started her music career while playing Miley Stewart in the Disney Show Hannah Montana in March of 2006. Cyrus signed with Hollywood Records, soon after that she released her album Meet Miley Cyrus, which sold over three million units. In 2008 Cyrus released her album of 12 songs, known as Breakout which launched her film career as a voice actress. Cyrus starred in Hannah Montana: The Movie, releasing her album The Time Of Our Lives in 2009. This gave her a more mature image. In 2010 Cyrus released her album Can’t Be Tamed, which served as the lowest-selling record of her career.

She then starred in the coming-of-age movie The Last Song later that year. Cyrus released her album Bangerz in 2013, showing her explicit behavior being signed with RCA Records. With Bangerz, Cyrus achieved the third number-one album on the US Billboard 200. She has had eight top 10 entries on the US Billboard Hot 100, and has had numerous awards and nominations throughout her music career. Cyrus has been nominated for over 160 awards and has won 60 awards. She has been a teen idol ever since the beginning of her career, in 2013 being nominated the “Artist of the Year” by MTV.

Cyrus does not have specific tour dates for the rising album, but eventually will hit the road.
