Famous singer forced to postpone tour

Sheeran takes a tumble

Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” tour was magical— not only was his performance surreal with insane special effects, but the overall atmosphere generated such a positive environment. During his rendition of his favorite song on his album, “Perfect,” which he claimed during his show, concert-goers gasped and pointed as a couple got engaged in the top section. Sheeran then dedicated the next song in the set, “Nancy Mulligan,” to the couple. The concert was definitely an occasion I’ll never forget.

In mid-October of this year, Sheeran posted on his Instragram and his website that he had injured himself in a bike accident.

“Ed Sheeran has been forced to postpone the following tour dates in Asia due to a fractured right wrist and left elbow after being involved in a bicycle accident: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong,” his website reported on Oct. 17.

Sheeran’s website then reported on Oct. 25 that his Osaka, Tokyo, and Manila concerts were to be rescheduled, but his shows in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Jakarta were sadly canceled.

In other news regarding Sheeran, he posted on his instagram, @teddysphotos, on Oct. 27 that his 2014 song “Thinking Out Loud” on his album “Multiply” produced by Atlantic Records earned the title of diamond in the United States. This means it sold ten million copies in the U.S.

“Thank you to everyone who streamed or downloaded it,” Sheeran wrote in his post.

Sheeran also announced on his Instagram that tickets for his upcoming tour in the United States, the North American Stadium Tour, were on sale. Starting in Pasadena, CA on Aug. 18, 2018, Sheeran will perform in various stadiums in the United States, including AT&T Stadium here in Dallas on Oct. 27, 2018. Sheeran’s tour will end on Nov. 10, 2018 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA.

Sheeran made an appearance at the 2017 Q Awards in the United Kingdom, even though he sported a cast on his right arm and a sling on his left. He walked away with the Q Award for “Q Best Act in the World Today,” one of the twelve awards presented.

“’Thank you to Q for the best act in the world today award’ – love ed x,” his Instagram post on Oct. 19 reported.

Busy with touring the globe and healing from a bike accident, Sheeran hasn’t reported any news of any upcoming music releases. One of his latest appearances was on singer Jamie Lawson’s album “Happy Accidents,” specifically in single “Can’t See Straight.”
