Attention Members of the Latin Club who attended Area C:
There is a meeting today 3:35 in Ms. Caron’s classroom (WC 112) to hand out ribbons earned at the Area C competition. Come to receive your award or cheer on your friends! Latin Club Members – There are meetings tomorrow and Wed. afterschool in Ms. Caron’s room to practice for the National Latin Exam which is this Thursday during 3rd period.
There is a CSC meeting tonight at 6pm in C105.
“Ladies of HP! Roots will be selling their tshirts for $20 in the cafeteria during lunch today . There will also be flyers for our upcoming upperclassmen retreat”
Habitat for Humanity Club will be hosting its first annual Fun Run! The 5k will take place on saturday march 25th! Donate $25 dollars to enter run and get one service hour, or $50 for two service hours to the link found on the habitat facebook page. We need volunteers and if you are interested in getting extra hours contact gretchen gottsacker or mr blackman for questions!

Congratulations to the Fighting Scots Chess team for their performance at the North Texas State Championship last weekend. The varsity team finished 5th in the elite division. The varsity team was led by Senior captain, Austin Mead, and included Senior, Yung-Chi Kung and Sophomore Matthew Healey.
The J V team, comprised of Freshmen David Jiang and Tony Liang was 6th in their division. Combined, the JV and Varsity Teams took home the 3rd place trophy in the grand championship competition, which is the highest finish in club history at a State level event.
Congratulations to the Lady Scots Track/Field Teams as they competed well at the Coppell Relays on Saturday. The Varsity Team placed 5th out of 14 teams. Falyn Reaugh won the high jump and broke her own school record with a jump of 5’ 11”. She also placed 4th in the triple jump and 100 meter hurdles, and placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles. Abbey Govett placed 4th in the long jump; Edie Terrell placed 6th in the pole vault; Maddy Stephens won the 800 meter run; the 4 x 200 meter relay placed 5th – the relay members were Maddy Stephens, Annemarie Whalen, Falyn Reaugh, and Mary Warriner Kemp; and the 4 x 400 meter relay placed 3rd – the team members were Grace Watts, Maddy Stephens, Ashley Booe, and Mary Warriner Kemp.
The JV team placed 3rd out of 13 teams. The top competitors were Georgie Holsomback, Claire Kozmetsky, Allie Lavish, Abbie Meinecke, Margaret Chambless, Christi Krikorian, Brynn Weakley, Camille Cooper, Grace Moreland, Kristin Cowie, Olivia Briggs, Jordyn Kaplan, Brooke Foy, Ashley Adams, Ashlyn Meuse, Ryleigh Urbanczyk, Erin Harper, and Julia Helton.
The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Richardson Invitational on Thursday.
