At each home football game this fall, Bowl and Barrel will sponsor a Field Goal kicking competition for HPHS seniors.  One senior will be announced at the pep rally on Fridays of each home game.  Seniors can sign-up in Mr. Heckman’s office.  The senior chosen will have 1 chance to make a field goal at the end of halftime.  If the kick is made, the senior will receive a $250 scholarship toward their college expenses.  If the kick is missed, the senior will receive a $100 restaurant gift card. 

Last weekend, members of the Highland Park High School Choral Department competed at the Region 20 Region and 9/10 Honor Choirs Audition.  Students spent the day competing for spots in the 9/10 Treble honor choir, 9/10 Tenor Bass honor choir, and All-Region choir.  

Of the 34 students who auditioned 11 of them will be advancing to the 3rd round, and placed in the region choir!  5 of the students placed in the top 5 in their respective voice part, including 2 1st place finishes.  

Of the 21 students who auditioned for the 9/10 honor choirs on Saturday, 20 made one of the 9/10 honor choirs!  9 of the students placed in the top 5 in their respective voice part, including 1 1st place finish!   

Would the Choir Students who placed in one of the choirs this weekend, PLEASE STAND IN YOUR CLASSROOMS AND BE RECOGNIZED NOW!
