On Saturday March 19, Carlo’s Bake Shop opened to the public in Preston Center. Yet, there was also a lesser known dessert shop that opened the same day in Preston Center: The Hospitality Sweet. It serves a variety of desserts, coffee, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This shop is open monday through Saturday, 7am to 6pm.

I ordered an iced caramel latte, and since the coffee grounds used are from Oak Cliff Roasters, I was happy with it. The service was a little slow since the shop is in the midst of organizing itself and attempting to figure out how to be efficient. Yet, the baristas and servers were friendly and willing to answer any question a customer may have.

My favorite part of the shop was the decor. Upon entering, there is a green shelf filled with flowers, cakes, and other miscellaneous items to the right. In front of that is a long wood table decorated as if in a home. Throughout the rest of the shop were little tables made from marble surrounded by black chairs. As a whole the decorations were chic and in style.

I liked everything about the Hospitality Sweet and think it is a great addition to the variety of shops and restaurants around the Park Cities.
