Magnolia Sous Le Pont
On Sunday January 31, I drove down the tollway to reach Magnolia Sous Le Pont. It is a tucked away shop with very limited parking. There is a visitors parking lot that is free right around the corner that you are able to walk to and from.
I decided to order a caramel latte as well as a croissant with a cream cheese filling. The latte was rich and delightful. It had a hint of sweet that was not overwhelming. The croissant was incredible. I asked for it to be warmed up, and it made all the difference. This made the cream cheese melty and the croissant extra flakey and flavorful.
My favorite part of this shop was the decor. It’s main colors were gray and white with pops of blues. The whole outside of the building is painted blue. I liked how the windows were left open so that the porch connected to the inside seamlessly. The furniture was earthy yet modern. I sat in a cushy blue chair that faced a couch with a coffee table in between. Around the shop were little items for sale, such as cards, soap, and clutch bags. All of these items were cute and good for gifts.
Over all, I liked Magnolia Sous Le Pont. The service could have been more efficient, but the atmosphere as a whole was quaint and enjoyable. I liked the layout of the chairs and couches and appreciated the connectedness between the outside and inside. I recommend this cafe for a place to visit with friends or to get homework completed. It stays open until 6 on weekdays, 5 on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday.
