New restaurants for DFW

In 2016, a bunch of new restaurants are poised to open in the Dallas area, and its causing everyone to go crazy because they can’t wait to dine at these new options.

There’s going to be a wide variety of new selections to choose from like Mexican, Italian and American food. If you are not looking forward to something new in every month of 2016, now you can.

Mudhen Meat and Greens, opened on Jan. 18 at the Dallas Farmers Market. It’s a sit down restaurant with a healthy vibe, offering vegetarian and vegan options for health-minded customers.

Top Knot is slated to open on Feb. 3, will have a secretive Asian feel to it, due to the fact that it is located on top of Uchi, a more expensive Asian restaurant. The operators have kept their menu and decor a secret by not releasing any information about it, but the public does know that the well-known chef Angela Hernandez will be in charge.

Revolver Taco and Purepecha are expected to open in early March. There are going to be a two-in-one restaurant located on Main St. in Deep Ellum and is expected to be one of the most unique places opening up in Dallas. This counter service Mexican restaurant will be selling pork, beef tongue, shrimp, cactus and squash tacos, among other things. Owner Regino Rojas is excited to share some surprise dishes, such as an ostrich taco with sweet black mole sauce. In the back of the building, Purepecha will be a sit-down Mexican restaurant with room for only 15-20 people. The concept is for customers to feel like

Sprezza, opens in March, will be a pizza and pasta place made by the restaurateur Julian Barsotti. The restaurant will have co-chefs, Ryan Ferguson and Scott Lewis, and they are planning on making their famous Italian comfort food more specifically dishes that are found all around Rome. This dining place will be found across the street from the Old Parkland Hospital.

Shake Shack, opens towards the second half of 2016, is a chain restaurant that will be placed in Uptown but is originally from New York City. This inexpensive burger place will be serving burgers, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard.

There are a couple more different types of restaurants to look out for in the coming up year.
