Dallas ComicCon coming soon

Dallas Comic Con was an event I went to in October 2015. Now, after several long months of waiting, Dallas Comic Con has come back for it’s two-day February convention. While the convention is shorter than the three day event in October, this Dallas ComicCon is not one to miss, especially if you’re fan of CW’s Arrow or The Flash.

While October’s ComicCon had a pretty stellar list of people coming, such as Bonnie Wright and James Marsters, February Dallas ComicCon has not disappointed and their announced list of actors is just as stellar with the main attraction being Stephen Amell who plays Oliver Queen (aka Green Arrow) on CW’s Arrow. Joining him from the show are Katie Cassidy, who plays Laurel Lance, and John Barrowman, who is known not only for his role as Malcolm Merlyn, but also for his role of Captain Jack Harkness on Doctor Who and its more adult spin-off, Torchwood.

However, the brother show to Arrow, The Flash, will not be left out of the fun, as Robbie Amell, who played Ronnie Raymond/ Firestorm, and Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow, will also be attending. Both actors are also known for other roles, such as Robbie Amell’s role in the movie The Duff as Wesley Rush and Panabaker’s role as a recurring agent character in the tv show, Bones.

The list of actors continues, though, with two from the tv show Gotham also attending. These two actors are Sean Pertwee, who plays Alfred, and David Mazouz, who plays the young Bruce Wayne in the Fox tv show.

Besides actors, different organizations have also announced their planned attendance, such as Rebel Legion, Tulsa TARDIS, DFW Cosplay Gallifrey, and others. They, like last year, will have separate booths set up for their members to met at.

To finalize the list, multiple different cosplayers, or people who dress up as characters, and comic book writers have also announced that they are coming. A few stand out names are Val Mayerik; the co-creator of the Howard the Duck comic, Joie Eisma; co-creator of Morning Glories, and cosplay models Jennifer Van Damsel and Calen Hoffman.

While it’s only two days instead of three, this Dallas Comic Con is not one to miss out on and will be at the Irving Convention Center Feb 13-14.
