Troye Sivan, age 20, is well known not only as a YouTube personalty with almost four million subscribers, but as an actor and musician, Sivan is very active in social media. He is also a LGBTQ+ icon for lots of his viewers and on August 7, 2013 Sivan released a video telling world that he is gay, this was a time before the legalization of gay marriage in the states and being gay was still a touchy topic. Although Sivan inspired and still inspires people all over to be completely themselves. In the creative three part music videos for his new album he shows a lovestory between himself and another boy to three of his songs, WILD, TALK ME DOWN, and FOOLS. 

Sivan released his first album in 2012 titles June Haverly. He released three songs on this EP, he then continued his YouTube career mixing in music with songs such as We’re my OTP, The 2012 Song, and The 2013 Song. At the time of the release of the Fault In Our Stars he released a song with the same name. Then in 2014 he signed a record deal with Capitol Records and released his EP titled TRXYE, and now he has an album to be released in the U.S on December fourth that is out for pre-order. Seven songs on the new album, Blue Neighborhood, have been released for automatic download with the purchase of the pre-order.

Although, Sivan isn’t just part of the music world he has also been in multiple movies. He played the lead role in the South African films Spud and Spud 2: The Madness Continues, and Spud 3: Learning to Fly in 2010 then again 2013, then again in 2014 with the third installment. Not only that but he played a young “Wolverine” in the 2009 movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, although he doesn’t have a lot of screen time he still has an important role for the foundation of the story. Between the two Spud films he played a role the Australian short film Bertrand the Terrible. As well as these films he appeared as a guest on talk show The Laundry.
