Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour

60,000 people swarmed into the AT&T Stadium Saturday, October 17, to see Taylor Swift perform at her 1989 world tour. The moment Swift opened up with “Welcome to New York” everyone went wild. It is fair to say she has stolen the hearts of many fans.

“The best part of her performance was when she sang ‘Fifteen’ from her old album. My favorite song is ‘New Romantics’ which is a bonus song on her 1989 album. I really love Taylor because she always develops different styles of music with each album, and she knows how to write a catchy song,” sophomore Jenna Peck said.

Swift is such a genuine person. The moment she walked on stage she had a smile on her face that showed how amazed she was that so many people came to see her.

“There are things you could be doing in Dallas, but you are here with me,” Swift said.

In response she had gotten a huge roar from the crowd. Everyone wants to spend time with Taylor! Her tickets sold out almost immediately after they were released. It was everyone’s wildest dream to see her in concert.

“I have had my tickets since the first night the dates were released,” freshman Claire DeJean said.

Each song Taylor performed was amazing. She had 12 backup dancers and amazing costumes that enhanced the awesomeness of the night. For “How You Get the Girl” Swift wore a bright pink dress that lit up when the lights were off. Everybody was thrilled to hear Swift sing some songs from her old album. She sang “Love Story,” “Fifteen” and “Enchanted.”

`           Swift had a little surprise in store for her fans. And by little, I mean huge. Ellie Goulding was brought out to sing “Love Me Like You Do” and it gave everyone chills. Destructa X and Catastrophe were back together. And it was better than ever.

Taylor ended off the night with “Shake it Off.” The runway she was on rose up and spun around over the audience’s heads. There was confetti and fireworks to go along with the upbeat song. And Taylor wore an adorable pink shimmery crop top and skirt for the number. Everyone was up on their feet and dancing away. There were no haters to hate at this concert.

“My favorite song of Taylor’s is ‘Clean.’ I love her because she is such a unique artist and she is so clever with her lyrics,” DeJean said.

Taylor Swift always puts on an incredible performance. She has so much sass, power, and emotion in every move. Even my mom loves Taylor. I mean really, who does not?
