Anna and Crosby Walker

Hi!  My name is Anna Walker and I’d like to introduce you to my dog Cosby. My family adopted Cosby in 2012 through the Basset Rescue Across Texas group. He is not a full-blooded basset, but enough to qualify for the rescue group!  A month after the death of our precious dog, Maggie, we decided we were ready to adopt again.  We met Cosby at an adoption event at a PetsMart in Plano.  We all immediately noticed that Cosby’s right front leg was sort of twisted.  This is apparently a common trait in Basset Hounds that can be problematic.  But that’s what made us love him instantly!  Who wants a perfect dog when you can have one with an interesting feature that makes him different from the pack?!  After we expressed our interest in Cosby, he came for a visit the next day and never left. Now, Cosby is five years old and flabbier than ever! He loves chew strips, squeaky toys, playing with other dogs and especially snuggling with anyone who will give him the opportunity. Oh, and Cosby very much dislikes cats and squirrels. We love our sweet Cosby and hope you enjoyed reading his rescue story!
