Scots Celebrate Inclusive Schools Week 2021

Student leaders work to make school more inclusive

In honor of national Inclusive Schools Week, which the district celebrates every year, The Bagpipe highlights members of the school working to make the culture more inclusive. Read the Scotlights below, and check them out in physical form at the student entrance.

The week-long event has been held around the country since 2001 to celebrate the “progress that schools have made in providing a supportive and quality education to an increasingly diverse student population, including students who are marginalized due to disability, gender, socio-economic status, cultural heritage, language preference, and other factors,” according to the website. This year’s theme is “Rebuilding Our Inclusive Community Together.” The high school will celebrate together through a pep rally on Friday.
