Are big or small concert venues better?

There are many different types of concert venues in Dallas that offer many different benefits and cons. The big venues that I have been to, therefore can accurately talk about are American Airlines Center, Dallas Cowboys Stadium, and Gexa. The small ones that I have been to are The Granada, The Bomb Factory, and Trees.

Beginning with big venue, the pros are very simple. There are going to be ample tickets, and big headliners playing there. All of the bigger artists will play there because more people will be wanting to see them. Even if the venue is big, the tickets might sell out quickly.

This means if you want your seat to be close to the front, you might have to pay a lot of money for your ticket. The other side of this, if you do not care about being close to the front, you can get a ticket for cheap. One example is like the time I went to the Beyonce concert for 26 dollars and with complete nosebleed tickets. I did not care about buying a close ticket because they were going for thousands of dollars.

Lines are going to be a lot longer at large venues. This can mean lines for t-shirts, parking, or concessions. This is not that bad, but you will need to plan ahead for the time lost.

For smaller concert venues, the seats are mostly general admission, so this means you can choose to arrive early to beat the crowd, but almost any seat you get will give you a good view.

The people playing at small venues are not going to be as popular, so they do not need to play huge venues, because they will not sell the whole thing out. The ticket prices vary due to the level of fame the artist has reached. They can be anywhere from 15 to over 150. The lines are going to be smaller because there aren’t as many people there.

Small concerts can be fun because if the price of the tickets is not too expensive, you can go see people you aren’t as familiar with.

One thing about going to small concerts that if different, is that the main artist might not have an opening headline, so you will have to make sure you do not arrive late for the show.

Both types of concerts can be fun or not, it depends on who’s playing, who you are with, and the personal experiences you have. Do not let one bad experience turn you off going to either type of concert.
