The CSC Trim the Turkey drive with the North Texas Food Bank will run from November 6th-November 17th, and will consist of strictly online donations this year. Contact a CSC officer, sponsor or look on the CSC website for more information. CSC will be sponsoring a canned food drive run by the Committee For Change club. This drive will take place Monday and Tuesday of next week before and after school. Food will benefit Dallas residents who cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner for their families. $25 dollars of donations will give you 1 service hour and $50 dollars will give you 2 service hours. Please look for posters around the school to know what to bring. CSC will be sponsoring a canned food drive run by the Committee For Change club. Congratulations the Freshman Chess Team for winning the 9th grade chess championship of North Texas this past weekend. Scots Chess captains, Kai Tsuei and Angela Cheng led the team, winning 2nd place and 5th place receptively. Alex Parker contributed 3 wins to the team effort and finished as 16th place individual.   This state level championship is a breakthrough for Scots Chess and the first time the Scots have beaten some of the States strongest teams, Houston Bellaire and Houston Debakey, in head to head competition. Way to go, Kai, Angela and Alex!

Congratulations to the Lady Scots Cross Country Team as the team placed 7that the UIL State Championships on Saturday.  The team was led by Cameron Fawcett who placed 14th,  Sophia Oliai who placed 15th, and Maddy Stephens who placed 46th.  The other team members were Gracyn Applegate, Grace O’Keefe, Jordyn Kaplan, and Annemarie Whalen.

The Lady Scots has had a team or an individual compete at the UIL State Cross Country Meet each year since 1975, the year girls first ran cross country.  There are 256 girls cross country teams in Class 5A. Yeah cross country!!
