Revote for Prom Court is from 9-2 today at the arches. Seniors only!

The Flying Scots Men’s Track team traveled to Wylie East on Friday resulting in Meet Champions for the JV and Varsity teams. This is the second meet in a row in which both groups returned as Meet Champions! Results will be posted on hpscotsathletics.com. Congrats!!!

Attention NEHS members! Our last meeting of the year has been rescheduled to accommodate the speaker. It will not happening tomorrow! It will take place on Tuesday of next week, April 4, from 4-5 pm in C107. Come hear Sue Batterton, creative ads director from the Richards Group here in Dallas. She’ll talk about creative marketing careers and the role of language in her job. Mrs Bayes chocolate chip cookies and lemonade will be served as always in Dr. O’s room. See you then.”

Spread the Word to end the word campaign is coming up this Friday and the Best Buddies club will be giving out cookies during all lunches on March 31st that pledge to not use the R- word. The use of the word in everyday speech is harmful and dehumanizing to those with intellectual developmental disabilities. The best buddies club advocates for the use of language that respects the dignity of our friends here at Highland Park High School. Join us in spreading the word to end the word!

Congratulations to the Lady Scots Track/Field Teams as they competed at the Tracy Wills Invitational on Saturday.  Varsity placed 2nd.  The top competitors were Margaret Petty, Ellie Henry, Abbey Govett, Edie Terrell, Sarah Walker, Grace O’Keefe, Olivia Scott, Emma Parker, Ryleigh Urbanczyk, Taylor Clark, Olivia Briggs, Maddy Stephens, Grace Beitter, Stephanie Mara, Lizzy Meggyesy, Grach Graham, Juliette Campbell, Grace Watts, Anna Clark, Olivia Conner, Mary Warriner Kemp, Hannah Booe, and Ashley Booe. JV placed 1st with 217 points. The next meet for the Lady Scots will be the Mustang Relays on Thursday.

The team would like thank Coach Scott, Taryn Knott, Brett John, Coach Farris, Coach Tallant, Coach Howen, Coach Coffey, and Coach Sutterfield for making this meet so special.

The Student Council draft ballot is posted in the StuCo glass case across from the senior wall. Please double check the spelling of your name, position, and grade level. The ballot becomes final this Wednesday at 3:30, so you must notify Mr. Hinton or Mrs. Grimes of any changes by then.
